How to promote business in Twitter
Twitter social networking site was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey
and was launched in July 2006. Microblogging service by twitter gained
popularity worldwide. Twitter now has more than 500 million registered
users and about 400 million tweets are generated every day. Twitter Inc.
is based in San Francisco, with additional servers and offices in New
York City, Boston, and San Antonio.

First create Twitter account and
immediate start using Twitter Search to listen for your name, your
competitor’s names, words that relate to your industry.
Add a Picture: Adding Your Picture shows that you are a Human. Point out interesting things in your space, not just about you.
Be wary of always Bombarding your stuff. Your fans will love it but Others will tune out of your account.
Talk about non-business too
When promoting a blog post, ask a question or explain what’s coming next, instead of just dumping a link.
Ask questions. Twitter is great for getting opinions online
Follow interesting people. If you find someone who tweets interesting things, see who she follows, and follow her.
